| | Incubus | ] | So my vacation has pretty much officially ended. My friends have all moved into school, or are going back within the next 2 days. I, myself, am moving back to Bentley on Sunday. I'm sure you can all imagine how incredibly excited I am. I just dont think I can handle it. HA
Anyways, not a whole lot going on lately. I've been trying to enjoy the last of my summer days. Looks like I've managed to land a kinda-sorta-job at A&F. I guess they need help, and since I spend way too much $$ there, why not take the discount along with the paycheck. I'll probably be working on an as-needed basis, and most of this week as well. My first actual real job...this might be interesting.
other than that, a couple weeks ago I helped Will finish up his Project Turbo in his car. I must say that for a "Do-it-yourself" setup, the thing is mint. We had to brainstorm a few times here and there to solve some minor leakage and...err...insufficient hardware issues, but it still seems to be goin strong, and driving it around is a reward well worth the aggravation...The car has definitely grown quicker, and before I know it, he'll be leaving me standing still on the highways. Oh well. Maybe a blower setup on the mustang might be an order. I've got that itch for boost.
On the note of cars (boosted ones, at that), it looks as though the truck is going to be put on the market, and I'll be picking up something a bit more practical and efficient for winter travel. The WRX will likely be my ride of choice if I can find the right one. It's AWD, it's fun, it's capable, it's a 4-door, and it gets much better than the 11-12 mpg that the truck guzzles down. Hopefully I'll find one priced right, and we'll go from there.
That's it for now.
Peace. |

| | Guerilla Black - Compton | ] | Yea, it's been almost a year since I've updated this shit...but I assume that since you're reading this, you probably know me well enough so that I don't have to cover everything that has happened since August '04.
First, school SUCKS. But, it's school, and I'm anti-social, so I know about 10 people (mostly from my team), and spent more time in two nights on homework than I did the entire year socializing, etc. So combine the work of school with the extra-curricular life of a monestary. It's like taking the knife in my own leg and twisting it.
Work with Collegiate Entrepreneurs is done with. Worked my ass off for pre-season, got some work booked, but apparently it just wasnt enough, and I didnt see eye to eye with the corporate powers that be, so I produced a few jobs and bid them farewell. So much for that extremely profitable job...but if they're right, being the condescending assholes they are, I'll likely end up bagging groceries or boxing goods for the rest of my life, and driving a Ford Contour or something. Oh well. Sad story, indeed.
So, it seems as though summer is finally in full swing for me. For the first month and a half or so, all I did was work. If I wasn't dealing with Collegiate and all their bullshit, and trying to get those paint jobs out of the way, I was at the marina trying to help prepare for Memorial Day and 4th of July weekends. That place has gone nuts this year. Sales are the highest ever, and it seems there is less help than ever to get shit done. At least the post-July 4th relaxation is beginning to take effect. So yea, after working in South Carolina over the July 4th weekend doing phone systems in some office buildings with Rory, I have been working fewer hours, and spending more time with my friends, taking the summer time for granted in full...
The car is finished. Finally. Since being stored over the winter, I've added a handful of things that have changed the personality of the car entirely, and, to me, it is as good as its gonna get without dumping too much $$ into it. The mass-air system, exhaust, lowering springs, rims/tires, euro headlights, window tint, and a few other random things here and there have really made the car from nothin into somethin. Still far from my favorite, but it's nice to know that its done, and I have money to do other things.
So that's about it for now I guess. Hopefully I'll be updating semi-regularly from here on. For now, here's some things I've learned in the past year or so. Enjoy
Some things...
Family Guy is a brilliantly written cartoon with an incredibly accurate portrayal of true, abstract humor
College can be fun for some, and SEVERELY OVER-RATED for others
Running doesnt get any easier when you get fatter, and college athletics are a bit much at times
Even if they money is great, sometimes a job just isnt worth the aggravation. -REMEMBER THAT
Stewie Griffin is my idol
George Jung has one hell of a story to tell (BLOW - a great movie)
Credit Card companies are the devil
Friends don't let friends drive Mustangs :-\
There are WAY too many WAY too rich kids out there, and they should be stripped of driving privelages. (buy your own fucking Porsche)
Within an enemy one many find a new best friend... |

| | Jet - Rollover DJ | ] | Ok, so I'm gettin a little better with updating...just a little.
Been an OK few days. Definitely been some ups and downs. I got information about my college roommate and all that. I'm on the 2nd floor, so I guess that's cool, but I'm not sure how good the dorm hall is that I got. My roommate is from Maine. Problem is, they didn't give me an email or anything, (perhaps Maine hasn't caught up on the technology wave quite yet). I've got a phone #, but it's a bit weird I think to just call up. Oh well, maybe he'll be more secure and will call me first.
Collateral is a great movie...likely better than you may expect. Take that $9.50 out of your pocket and take a peek at it. If you have done so, be sure to check out Harold & Kooooomar (is that 5 o's or 2 u's?)
Deary's was fun the other night. It was nice to hang out with the guys for a little while. Although, most of them don't remember the quality time we spent together that night. Some of us have been grouped for 10 years or so. And to think, in less than 2 weeks, it'll never be the same again. We've been through a lot of shit, some very good, and some as bad as it gets. Lauren won't be there either every night. My 2nd home is gone, and so she will be as well...Just kinda sucks to think that it's all gonna change, and there aint shit I can do about it. But moving on, before I bring one to tears...
Today went from dumb to sweeeet... My sis's car broke down this mornin on her way home from Boston. Thankfully, it was only about 5 miles from my house. First, her alternator shit the bed. Once my dad got her goin on a jumper box, she was carefully continuing home until her hood decided it was a cool time to release and fly. Now the car is without an alternator and a straight hood. SO gotta teach her how to drive my car now in case she needs it. She's been car shoppin lately anyways, so I guess it's nothing more than convenient timing. After runnign around town all morning bringing car keys places, taking care of newly found kittens (2 today), and everythin in between, Lauren came over for a bit to meet Charlie (one of the kittens). After she left, I headed up to Will's to assist in surgery on the WRX. Kiel got his new Apexi Turbo Timer, and so I helped finish the install, and was talented and persistent enough to not let Will neglect the air/fuel ratio signal wire, and got him to let me complete the install and got it all working. It came out good. So once that was all said and done, the fun began. I've driven a decent collection of cars for a kid my age who's last name isn't Hilton, Hilfiger, or...Bow-Wow? I've been in my share as well. Mustangs, corvettes, S2000s, Lightnings, all that good stuff...but today, I finally got my shot at an extensive driving experience with a Subaru WRX. It's something I've awaited for some time. The whole idea of an affordable AWD turbo mini sedan sounded cool to me. Needless to say, my high expectations were far surpassed after tossing it about the back roads of CT. Definitely could get in trouble with that car. But what can I say? Sunfire's just don't cut it (right Will?)
The 'rents are leavin Friday until Wednesday, which is good mostly because I get to work alot of hours and make money.
...Money for school? Sure... ...Money for that STi that I now dream about?...time will tell.
Stay tuned...
P.S. - Those of you who own cars, check for recalls on your "cO2" sensors....they may fail |

So it's been a few days since my last entry. Just more for me to write this time 'round. So let's see. Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle is quite possibly one of the most memorable flicks I've seen in quite some time. I found myself laughing harder more often than I did watching Euro Trip. I highly recommend it to anyone with an extra $9.50 to spare. ouch.
Monday we were kinda short on the head count to go tubing, so we decided, 5 people, how bout 3 tubes? So 3 riders, a driver, and a spotter (just to keep it legal). So me, Reynolds, and Deary rode for 2 hours straight. And now, a full 2 1/2 days later, my arms/shoulders still haven't forgiven me. I'll live, though.
Yesterday I got some disturbing news. That's right, the Lightning is on it's way out. Of all the cars, it's my favorite. It's not the fastest or fanciest, but it's just cool and different. And to me, that's what makes it worth keeping. Apparently, my dad has a different view. But I guess it's all for my own good; cause I imagine the $$ goes to my college tuition, albeit a small piece, its a piece, nonetheless. Not to worry, sooner than later, I'll just buy my own. Hooters was fun last night. Aside the groupie mainstream music blasting and the drunk college grads making unnecessary amounts of noise, it was an enjoyable and, uhhh, eye-opening? experience. The ride home sucked. But every rose has its thorn.
I threw my Clarion deck in my car this morning. It's OK I guess. Not great, but there will be improvements in the near future to make it completely satisfactory. At least for now I get louder sound and better bass. It's just got a different personality. I got my other ear pierced today, finally. I figured I might as well do both and balance it out. It was far less painful this time, and buying a new pair of 14K Gold earrings also shall help the healing process this time. I also bought a White Castle T-shirt. It's a big hit so far. I couldn't resist. I kinda like it. Tomorrow is shopping day with mom and lauren. Could be fun. Just Maybe...
Sooo now that's it I suppose. Who knows when I'll update again.
'Til Next Time

...
...still gathering some
Alright. My friend got a new car today. It's pretty nice. A scooby-doo, err..Subaru WRX. It's neat. Maybe once he learns to drive it I'll race him or something. It could be interesting, but who cares anyway. Me and my friends will and chris went to Speed Zone in Worcester tonight. It was kinda disappointing. One of the guys that worked there (mind you he seemed right off the boat from Asia), tried offering me a FIPK kit for my car at some incredible price. It was a beat up box..looked like an un-used, returned item. Anyways, thanks to eBay, I won't be throwing my money their way. I can get a brandy-new one and save $5.00 Not that the wait for shipping really matters much. I gotta bring my car to the body shop at 8 A.M. tomorrow :[ And I won't have it back til Wed. some time. I'm finally having my chin spoiler put on. Should look alright (my car needs all the cosmetic help it can get). Hopefully I can find another vehicle to drive for the day or so...then again, knowing my family, I had BETTER be able to find something, or else I'm gonna open my own branch of Budget Rent-a-Car, and take care of it myself. :]
Tonight me and Lauren made shrimp and steak again. FYI, we cook the shrimp like they do at Sakura Tokyo, and it comes out mighty close if I may say so, and I don't even like shrimp. So it's nice to know i can leave for college in 29 days and have some cooking skills under my belt...
I guess that's all for now. It's late. And I have to be up early for a change. Hopefully I'll be droppin a few more thoughts tomorrow some time.
Until next time...

After seeing all kinds of different people I know set up these journal things, I've decided I'd join the "in crowd" and create one myself. I've always wanted to keep a journal for a reason unknown to myself, but my hands get sore from writing, so I guess this solves all my problems, eh?
Far from it. But we'll see how this shit goes... |
